Finally!
It was about time eh?!?!?! I have finally settled down into my new home.
Holidays are over and tomorrow I start my new job…
I’m somewhat scared… I don’t know anyone I will work with, I only know a small outline of what I will be doing, meeting new people, organising my new desk, learning a lot of new things.
It’s all going to be very difficult in these coming weeks. Nonetheless i’m also quite happy about all these changes. I’m excited that i’m finally living alone again since Uni, and also about all the new things i’m going to learn.
During these holidays I stayed with my wonderful girlfriend Gloria. We mostly stayed in our hometown but we went to the seaside about an hour and a half away for a few days. We stayed 3 days in Bibione and 1 day in Lignano Sabbiadoro. I finally baked my translucent skin, and it became sizzling red in about 5 minutes after exposure to the sun (see photos).
I learned that i can make my eyes roll outwards after 23 years. And I found another interesting insect which I photographed. I’m pretty sure it’s a cricket though!
Ohhhhh I almost forgot! I bought an Iphone, and i’m on the internet through my computer thanks to it which is pretty cool. I’ll soon get a decent connection I promise.
So… this was a very small recap and i’ll try and upload some photos, hopefully my phone won’t explode in the process.
- You can see my stealth cat at the end of the corridor!

More to come soon, including wallpaper of the week and photos of my new appartment!!!

Wallpaper Weekly
Time for this week’s wallpapers. I chose to put some random papers that I quite like recently.
Some are psychedelic, some cartoony, some just beautiful.
I love the one with the butterflies.
The zelda one is amazing, reminds me of the huge amounts of time spent playing that game when i was small, and it makes for an extremely geeky/beautiful wallpaper.
So here they are:
Unfortunately this will be one of my last posts for a month or so. This is because i’m leaving for Veneto today, towards my new house and new job. This means that i won’t have internet access for a while. I’ll update when i’ll get a decent internet connection!
Salutations and speak to you all soon!
Woooooo!

Illegal biking and a weird insect
Today I decided it was time… I absolutely HAD to go for a nice motorbike ride with my Vespa. I had to see what it was really able to unleash before I leave for Veneto on friday.
That’s right. Veneto Banca has confirmed me indefinetly which is great news. I’m moving to find a new house on the 1st of August so it’s all gonna be hectic in these next few weeks.
Anyway back to the Vespa… I went for a long “stroll”, illegal may I add, showing it off to all my friends.. and riding it was the best feeling i’ve had in a long time. It’s as if I went back to when I was 6 years old in Friuli. He used to carry me around with this exact same vespa and I was the happiest kid in town. I just think it’s impossible to describe how riding this Vespa makes me feel. You’ll all just have to come down here and try it for yourselves!!!
Here are some photos of me once more riding in my garden:
I’ll have to bring the Vespa to Veneto in September but luckily the bank will pay for the big van i’m thinking of borrowing for a weekend.
I also washed my car which was in dire need! That’s when i heard a little noise coming from closeby. It sounded like a cricket. I looked towards the wall and there it was!!!! It was a pretty amazing insect, about 5cm long with long antennae. It also had a pincer tail and these little, hard wings that it flapped to make the cricket sound.
If anyone knows what the hell it is please let me know because i’m really interested and it doesn’t look like a cricket because they use their legs to make sound not those wings on its back… Cool find eh? Here it is:

Weekly Wallpapers
Haven’t had any time at all to blog at all this week. It’s been pretty hectic as i’ve had to deal with my new job offer, which involves moving, finding a new house, signing a new contract, learning a new job… More of that later anyway when I know all the details myself eheh. Here are this week’s wallpapers!
This time, it’s going to be one for the fellas… I’m talking about 1950’s Pinup girls!!!!
Crazy Weather!!
I woke up this morning to a thunderstorm. During summer here in italy, it is common to have a few weeks of really hot weather and then BAM! a week of full on red alert thunderstorms.
I went to work as usual, but underestimated how wet rain really is, so i ended up soaked with my shoes making silly noises for the rest of the day.
The weather is stable now, at least no more thunders so my dog isn’t scared anymore.
Other than all that, i got told today that I am confirmed indefinetly at my new job, and that I will be starting in Treviso on the 17th of August. I got promoted by two levels too!
Real happy about everything at the moment!
Here’s an interesting few pictures i took coming back from work. This is a small port close to where i take the ferry boat on lake maggiore to get back home from work. It was full of debris that the storm took all the way into the lake. It looked like there was earth instead of water:

No fun facts about these…
Quite a few things going on right now so i’ve been quite busy. Mostly because of my new job, and having to find a place to stay in, and also still not knowing when i’m actually starting… All i know is that I start in august!!!

New Job Offer
It was friday, 4pm, and I was still at work. The office phone rang, and the man on the phone tells me he is the human resources director in Veneto Banca Holding. He tells me he wants to meet up with me for a chat as soon as possible!!
The blog followers already know that my contract ends on the 31st of July, so this was all great news for me.
On the plus side, I was going to go to Friuli anyway this weekend, so I just took monday off to go to this interview.
Upon reaching Veneto Banca Holding, I was pretty impressed by the size of the whole building:
There’s even a stone statue in the entrance hall haha!
I must say that I was quite impressed.
They are offering me a job but I really don’t know for sure what i’ll be doing exactly at the moment. It’s something quite specific involving how all the small banks that are part of the Veneto Banca Holding group work and being given projects, working on spreadsheets, creating budgets… it all sounds interesting and quite hard.
I haven’t signed anything official yet, but from what they told me in the interview, including (when would you like to start, because we’d like you to start right away), I think it’s pretty obvious. We decided it would be best for me to start on the 17th of August, which will give me some time to move my stuff and find an appartment.
All in all, I can’t wait to start my new job in this huge building, and also looking forward to finding my own new place to stay nearby.
So I guess this is where my career starts to lift off. Pretty important step in my life i believe.
Job aside, I really went to Friuli for another reason. It was Roberto’s (a longtime family friend of our’s) 60th birthday, and he had a big party in this beautiful Villa/restaurant. I got to see Luca (his son and my friend since i was 2 years old. Visit his italian Blog: http://www.ipernova.it ), Matteo (his older brother) and I also brought along Gloria, my girlfriend. We had a great time and it was great to remenisce old stories and catch up on new ones.
We also had a wonderful, fish based lunch.
What a fantastic weekend!! Now i have 3 weeks to get all my stuff sorted, friends to see for the last time, packing my stuff, and finding a new house!!!
Oh I almost forgot. I will also have my last ever concert with OSFA on the 25th of July. We will play our old songs/covers. It will be a sad moment for me. Will keep you updated with all that.
