Ebay Hamilton Pocket Watch
It finally arrived and it’s just as beautiful as I thought it would be. It’s in working condition. The only thing it needs is a nice clean-up and it’s ready to be used 😀
This is a Hamilton 975 grade 17 jewel, adjusted, pocket watch that dates back to 1916-1919.
Here are some pictures:
- Hamilton 975 front
- Hamilton 975 movement
Heres an old catalog for Hamilton pocket watches in the 1920’s:

I dated it back to 1916-19 thanks to its serial number and these websites: http://library.ihc185.com/catalogs/ ; http://thewatchguy.homestead.com/pages/HamiltonSerial.html

New Watches!!!
A few weeks back (first sunday of the month) I went to the usual antique market, but this time I knew what I was looking for.
I managed to find a few nice watches and didn’t end up spending a fortune either.
My father also sent me a pocket watch he had in his “secret drawer”. It was a pocket watch his colleagues gave him as a gift when he left Bulgaria.
Recently I also won a bid for a 1917 Hamilton 17 Jewels Pocket Watch on ebay and can’t wait to get my hands on it.
So here they are (clicky on the images for a small description):
- Komandirskie Paratrooper
- Slava Perestroika
- Molnija Pocket Watch
- Molnija Mechanism
- Molnija Back
- Hamilton Grade 975
- Hamilton 975 movement
- Hamilton 975 movement
- Hamilton Back case
I’ll post more pics of the hamilton once it arrives here. Hopefully all in one piece.
I don’t think ther will be many more watches added to my collection for a while because I got banned from xbox live and so I’m thinking of getting a new xbox so am unsure of my financial status at the moment eheh.

Antique raid!
This Sunday my girlfriend brought me to the antique market in Aviano. We spent the whole day trying to find something that stood out of the heap.
I found a beautiful LIP pocketwatch from the early 1900’s. The quadrant is pretty basic and quite abused, but the movements are in exceptional order and are a beauty to watch.
I’ve always had a passion for pocketwatches, since I was a small kid. I can now finally express this passion into a hobby and i’ll make sure I try and find other similar bargains. What i’m aimning for at the moment is a nice american pocketwatch. Either a Hamilton or an Illinois. I don’t want to buy them from ebay. I’d love to find a bargain at some antique market or fair.
Lets get back to the LIP I found. I can’t seem to find an exact date for it. The only thing I found out is that it’s marked on the inside backcover with 393. I think this means the diameter is 39mm and that it is given a mark of 3 out of 5 for it’s movement precision which is discrete.
It is of french manufacture, and LIP have been making watches since the 1800’s up to today.
Enough technical talk…
My girlfriend found two beautiful necklaces, and sent me the pic for the one she likes best.
Here are the photos. Oh and btw, these photos made me realise I need a serious camera… the pics, even with the macro setting, are a crock of shite.
